It’s certainly been a couple of years that will go down in history, from a global pandemic, a war in Europe, a Cost-of Living-Crisis to the very sad passing of Queen Elizabeth II to name just a few.
As we’ve embraced and navigated these major events in our lives, it can be easy to overlook the effects they can have on us both personally and at work. We keep on going without taking the time to stop and understand the effects on our wellbeing. For employers, it is imperative that they take the welfare of their employees seriously to ensure thattheyhave a healthy working environment for everyone.
National Work Life Week 2022 runs from 10th to 14th October. It is Working Families’ annual campaign to get both employers and employees talking about wellbeing at work and work-life balance. Employers can use the week to provide activities for staff, and to showcase their flexible working policies and practices. The week represents a fantastic opportunity to not only promote the importance of wellbeing but also encourage open conversations about what employees need to feel good at work.
